Ibiza update I: Atmoz & Manumission

A quick update after 24 hours of Ibiza. After the practical stuff(car rental, hotel check-in, dinner, etc...) we made a walk in the center of Ibiza looking for Pat Krimson´s Atmoz bar. Patrick Claesen and Debbie welcomed us enthusiastically and served us the ´Atmoz exclusive´ cocktail. Around 1.00am we left the bar for Manumission at Privilege. The main room was almost empty when we arrived. As everywhere in Europe, parties tend to start late in Ibiza. Around 2.30am the place was finally packed. Manumission, a concept which was imported from Manchester (UK) in 1994, is a bubbling melting pot of theatrical, musical and film elements, performance art and innovative guest DJ’s. This year, NYC based art/rock band Fischerspooner was added to the mix – bringing their own critically acclaimed live and controversial music show to the main stage. We stayed until 5.00am, just not to push it on our first night in Ibiza. We´ll be present again next week Monday, for an other edition of Manumission at Priviledge!

Tomorrow is the big day, leaving for Ibiza. August 29th until September 8th will be ten days of crazy partying! Privilege, Pacha, Amnesia, Space, Es Paradis, El Divino, Eden, Bora Bora,... they're all on our list. Keep an eye on this blog for live updates from the party island.

Begijnhoffeesten

Thanks to our friend Hedwig, we got VIP access to last Friday's Begijnhoffeesten in Dendermonde. Live performances of Nathalia and Clouseau, free booze and a chat with Kurt Rogiers (Flemish actor)...not bad for a Friday evening. ;-)

My birthday, Lokerse Feesten & Tomorrowland

Last Tuesday I celebrated my birthday at Steve's Café. Thanks to Bram, Bianca, Glenn, Joeri, Hedwig, Koert, Jade, Filip and Steve's crew for the great ambi that night! Enjoy the pics, made with my new Sony Ericsson K750i, at the gallery. In total I went three times to the Lokerse Feesten last week and I managed to see zero live performances. How come? The whisky-coke & girls at Café De Kroon! On Sunday morning I got an early wake up call from Fou69 who invited me to help him out with his mega helium balloon at Tomorrowland. Planet Reef

Last Saturday, beach club Inside Outside in Oostende hosted the 5th edition of Planet Reef. Thanks to Telenet & Reef I could enjoy this event as a VIP guest. Free Corona all day long, a meet-n-greet with the Reef girls, wakeboard demo's, and so on... It became even better when my friends of Glitterati.be arrived at the beach scene. Eastern Break BBQ & Party

A lame start on Friday evening at club Reflex known for it's cheap entrance, drinks and good ambi. Unfortunately, the crowd and music s*cked this time, result: Reflex is off my party list for a long time. A better experience was reserved for Saturday evening. After an afternoon of shopping in the center of Antwerp, mainly to hunt for Fou's party gadgets, we joined our Zillion friends for a BBQ on the terrace of Fou's condo at Zillion. What a great experience! Lot's of drinks, great food and an opportunity to dive in the amazing pool. On side of the pool has glass windows in the wall, so you can look in the pool from Fou's bedroom, bathroom and jacuzzi! After the BBQ, we took the stairs to Zillion's Bazement where more drinks were waiting and an amazing 'Eastern Break' decor welcomed us...and the Zillionairs partied till sunrise...
