Wine & Gumball3000 weekend

Last weekend, I enjoyed two fantastic bottles of wine at Bart's apartment in Sint-Niklaas. On Friday evening we tasted a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Château Le Loup, 1999. On Saturday we went shopping for some ingredients for a self cooked meal at Delhaize in the Waasland Shopping Center. Since a good meal deserves a good wine, we had a bottle of Chateau Du Paradis, 2001. After our delicious dinner, we enjoyed a few beers at Brasserie St. Marie and Steve's Café. On Sunday I was joined by Bram for a "terraske" at the Cipierskelder. This weekend, the weather was cold and wet. On Saturday I went shopping with Joeri at the Waasland shopping center and had dinner at Grand Cafe Den Abazjoer in Dendermonde. On Sunday I celebrated my parents 30th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends in Bruges. On Sunday evening I drove from Bruges to Beloeil, a small town in the South of Belgium where the Gumball3000 had it's first checkpoint. Check my pictures and videos here. Sensation White 2006

Last Saturday the Antwerp Sports Palace united 15.000 people dressed in white to celebrate Sensation White. I was joined by Cindy, Tina, Maaike, Arsenio and friends. Lentenacht Ghent & The Champions of Volley

The party weekend started on Thursday evening: I organized an after work drink at t'Stopsel in Diegem, followed by an Italian dinner at 'Da Pépé'. Leaving the restaurant at 11.45pm, I gave Joeri a call to check where he was hanging out. Surprisingly enough, he was on his way to Ghent to celebrate 'Lentenacht', translated 'Spring Night' - a major party night for students. We were joined by Evy (Joeri's girlfriend), Nathalie, Sarah and some other crazy party friends of Evy's at Cuba Libre for a hot & steamy party which lasted until 6am. On Friday afternoon I met Bart, an old schoolfriend of mine, at the Waasland shopping center. He invited me for a pre-drink at his cosy flat. After we finished a delicious bottle of Veuve Clicquot, we headed to the South of Antwerp where we checked out some pubs. Saturday night was the big night for Belvoc (Joeri's Volley team), they collected the last points necessary to become the 2006 Volley Champions in 2nd Division. They celebrated their victory with a shower of Champagne!
